How to care your bedding ?

Zonli Floor Mattress Care&Clean Guide

How often you should clean a mattress depends on the type of mattress and how frequently it's used. Generally, it’s recommended to clean your mattress every six months to remove dust, dirt, and sweat. For those who experience frequent spills or stains, using a mattress cover is highly recommended, as mattresses are not designed for frequent washing and may become damaged if cleaned too often.

With a Removable Cover

1. Machine Wash the Cover

Most Zonli mattress covers are removable and machine-washable. Use a gentle cycle, cold or warm water, and mild detergent. Avoid hot settings to prevent shrinking.

2. Air Dry or Tumble Dry Low

For best results, air-dry the cover. If using a dryer, opt for low heat to preserve fabric quality.

3. Wash Regularly

Experts recommend washing your mattress cover once every 1–2 months, or more frequently after spills or if pets have been on it.

Cleaning the Mattress (Without Removable Cover)

1. Vacuum First

Use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris from both sides of the mattress.

2. Spot Clean Stains

Mix mild detergent with warm water and gently blot stains using a soft cloth. For tougher marks (e.g., urine), use an enzyme cleaner, or a baking-soda paste for dried spots. Rinse with a clean damp cloth.

If your washing machine is large enough, the floor mattress without the cover can also be machine washed. However, it’s important to choose a gentle or delicate cycle with cold water to avoid damaging the inner filling. Do not use bleach or harsh detergents. After washing, air dry the mattress completely in a well-ventilated area—do not tumble dry, as high heat may cause shrinkage or warping.

3. Deodorize with Baking Soda

To freshen the mattress, sprinkle baking soda on the surface, leave it for 30 minutes, then vacuum it off. Add a few drops of essential oil if desired.

4. Sun and Air Out

When weather allows, place the mattress in direct sunlight for a few hours to help eliminate odors and bacteria. If indoor only, set it near open windows for several hours.

5. Ensure Complete Drying

Always let the mattress air dry fully—never use it while damp. This avoids mold growth and extends its lifespan.

Maintenance & Longevity Tips

1. Rotate and Flip Regularly
Flip and rotate your mattress every few months to prevent uneven wear and to maintain its shape and support.

2. Use a Mattress Protector (Optional)
A waterproof or cotton mattress protector can help guard against spills, dust mites, and dirt—and makes cleaning easier.

3. Avoid Eating or Pets On the Mattress
Limiting messes and dirt exposure helps your mattress stay fresh longer.

Sheets&cover

Sheets and covers can provide comfort, warmth, and protection for your bedding and sleep. They help to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, while also absorbing sweat and other body fluids. In addition, they can protect the mattress and bedding from dust, dirt, and allergens, as well as protect against wear and tear.

Care instructions

It is recommended that you wash your sheets and covers at least once a week to keep them fresh and clean. Most sheets and covers can be washed on a warm or cool cycle in the washing machine. It is important to use a gentle detergent and avoid any fabric softeners or bleach. For best results, hang sheets and covers to dry or tumble dry on low heat. If you prefer a crisp and smooth look, it is a good idea to iron them on a low heat setting.

To avoid soiling your sheets and covers, keep the bedroom clean and free of dust and dirt. Regularly vacuuming and dusting will help keep the bedroom free of allergens and other debris. Additionally, it is important to avoid eating or drinking in bed. Finally, if you have pets, be sure to keep them clean and bathed regularly to avoid shedding hair and dander on the bedding.

Weighted blankets
are special blankets designed to provide a calming effect, which can help reduce stress, anxiety, and insomnia. They contain small, evenly distributed weights, such as plastic pellets or glass beads, and are heavier than regular blankets.

Typically, you should use a gentle cycle and cold water, and avoid using bleach, fabric softener, and other harsh chemicals. Air drying is usually recommended, as it can help to preserve the integrity of the weight. Since some weighted blanket can not be dried in the dryer, it better to check the washing instructions of the manufacturer before put your weighted blanket in a dryer. Be sure to use the lowest heat setting and check the weighted beads to make sure they are evenly distributed after drying.

You should stop using a weighted blanket if it has leaked beads. Leaking beads can pose a choking hazard and can also damage the blanket and other items in the vicinity. If your weighted blanket has leaked beads, contact the manufacturer for assistance.

You should wash a heated blanket according to the manufacturer's instructions. Generally, it is best to wash the blanket every two to three months. Additionally, unplug the blanket before washing and drying it, and avoid using harsh chemicals. Finally, inspect the blanket regularly for signs of damage or wear.

It is best to use a heated blanket for no more than two to three hours at a time. Heated blankets are designed to provide warmth and comfort, but should not be used for extended periods of time.
